Koldo and Nora clearly saw that what they had learned and found in their travels and experiences did not have a space in Donostia/San Sebastián in 2020. Immersed in the philosophy of plant-based whole foods, they wanted to transmit to the people of Gipuzkoa and then to the whole world what they believe constitutes a more sustainable lifestyle for our Planet, a more respectful treatment of small local producers and a nutritional system more beneficial for individual and collective health. All combined with Nora’s other passion: specialty coffee.
They have no doubt that based on self-respect, respect for others and nature, we can improve the quality of life for everyone. Empowering the individual, in a responsible and respectful way, transforming the present and the future for the better.

OhBaba was born with the firm purpose of doing everything possible to generate the least possible waste as well as to reduce, reuse and regenerate everything we use.
For this reason, we collaborate with our supplier of fruits and vegetables, who supply us with kilos and kilos of pumpkin pulp that, if did not come to OhBaba, would go to the garbage. Instead, we use it in our beloved and famous OhBabaRoll.
Nor do we waste the skin of the banana that we use, since it becomes the “pulled” of the banana burger (its filling). And so we will continue, thinking of ways to reduce, reuse, rethink, recycle and compost.
We try to provide ingenious solutions to our own needs: such as the take away boxes of coffee drinks that we make with the bricks of milk that we use; or, the water to take away in bottles of the kombucha that we sell; or the now famous Irri-Sarri glass, an initiative of our friend Ander, who has declared war on single-use glasses with this cup that is so easy to use everywhere, thus reducing waste generated in take-away.
All our take away containers are also compostable and we encourage our clients to bring their own reusable material; both for food and drinks, making a discount of 10 cents on all drinks when you bring your own glass, always.
